If you asked me if I was a positive or negative person, I would respond by saying that I’ve always been positive.

And I truly believe that.

BUT, once you start looking at my daily life, you’ll see that so many times I blocked positivity with negativity!

For instance,

– I think about where I ‘thought’ I’d be at this point in my life; Where society thinks I should be. And I get angry and upset.

– When I go on a trip, I never want it to be over. I get really sad and dwell on the fact that I have to go home. Usually on trips I’m a glass half empty person – “We only have 4 more days here! Ahhhh!!”

– I find myself judging situations and other people. For instance, thinking someone who has a well paying job is living the high life or someone who doesn’t have an autoimmune disease is living a great life.

– Beating myself up when I’m feeling ‘fat’ or ‘unattractive’. Resolving to go on another diet or to exercise more.

– Wishing I had more money or a nice car. Thinking that what I have is never enough and always striving to have more.

And I’m sure I could keep going on and on . . .

I’m not angry that I do this.

I’m no upset that perhaps I’m not as positive as I once believed.

I’m actually happy that I can step back and identify these situations with an open mind and a nonjudgemental heart. I see an opportunity to help myself unblock my positive thoughts so they can come rushing in.

If you’ve ever read any of Gabrielle Bernstein’s books, or if you’re familiar with any work with reference to A Course In Miracles, you’ll recognize the words ‘Ego’, ‘Fear’, ‘Love’, and ‘Miracles’.

Vocabulary.com had this funny definition for ego,

“Your ego is your conscious mind, the part of your identity that you consider your “self.” If you say someone has “a big ego,” then you are saying he is too full of himself.

Poor ego, it gets such a bad rap, being so often confused with “megalomania” and “vanity” and all kinds of other nasty things, but strictly speaking it is only a psychological term popularized by Freud meaning the conscious (as opposed to the unconscious) mind, or the awareness of one’s own identity and existence. Nothing wrong in that, is there?”

Our fears are what our ego attaches to! Running wild, causing sleepless nights, crazy worries and millions of self-help books to pile upon our shelves. BUT, when we identify our fears head on, stare our ego straight in the face and decide to choose love, we are then unblocking negativity from our lives and allowing miracles to occur.

“When we resist the natural flow of life, we block miracles” #MayCauseMiracles

Before diving deep into miracle based work, I always look at miracles as things that occurred every once in a while that really ‘wow’d’ us. Things like a virgin birth, someone beating a fatal case of cancer, surviving a plane crash – crazy, big situations. I didn’t realize that miracles are a fact of life! Miracles occur EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!

And I’m talking about every damn day.

Don’t believe me? Let’s look at your day so far –

Since you’re reading this post, I’m going on the assumption that you woke up this morning. BAM! MIRACLE RIGHT THERE!

Waking up every day is a miracle.

Being able to breathe is a miracle.

Thinking is a miracle!

When we allow ourselves to listen to our fears (aka negativity) we’re blocking love (positivity) from rushing in and allowing miracles to occur. We don’t do it purposely! I mean, come on! If we realized we were blocking miracles do you think we’d be doing it? I don’t know about you, but I sure as hell don’t think I would!

So we need to learn to identify in our lives when we’re blocking love and blocking miracles. If we can do this, then we can embrace loving, positivity in our lives and experience all the miracles life has to offer us.

Now, I’m guessing you’re either

a) totally on board with me and ready to get this miracle train arockin’

or

b) looking at me like I have 3 eyes and think I’m totally off my rocker

Well guess what, if you’re in the b category that’s exactly where I was before I started my love journey. And it’s never too late to start your own! It is something that we need to go into fully so we can experience the life changing results, but we all have our own paths to take.

Because I’m so passionate about choosing love over fear, about unblocking miracles and really learning to embrace positivity

AND

because I TRULY believe it’s an ESSENTIAL STEP in healing our own bodies,

I hope you continue with me on this Miracle Monday adventure.

It’s gonna get crazy, freakin’ lovey in this biatchhhhhh. Hold on to your butts 😉

First, read anything and everything by Gabrielle Bernstein. It’s kinda funny, I started with her Miracles Now Book and worked my way backwards through her collection of AH-MAZ-ING literature. Seriously, her Spirit Junkie and May Cause Miracle books are books I wish every household in the world could own.

Here are some articles I’ve come across that will help you too!
