Today’s National Psoriasis Foundation Psoriatic Disease Awareness Month wellness challenge (Geeezz, that’s a mouthful) is to Show Some Love.
I love love. I’m alllllll about the love. In fact, here on my blog every Monday is dedicated to spreading light and love and the possibilities of Miracles (hence the #MiracleMondays).
Love is the foundation of everything. In fact, if you think about it, I can’t think of one single circumstance which isn’t rooted in love.
If we choose love, we approach every situation with a loving heart. So that goofball in line at the grocery store, the hurried man driving to work or the worry wort friend we have don’t seem to bother us as much. When we choose love, we see all situations in a different light.
{Bare with me here, this may be a little out there for some of you}
Choosing love means you’re choosing to be compassionate, you’re choosing to see the good, you’re choosing to be supportive, friendly, understanding…. If you choose love you’ll understand everyone is going through $h*t and deserves to be given love instead of anger or frustration. If everyone chose love, there would be no conflict, there would be no war, there would be no jealousy, animosity or hate.

When we choose to send love out in the world, guess what?! That love is going to come back to us… 10 fold!
So this week I urge you to choose love. Maybe you’re feeling down about your body or your illness, maybe someone is getting on your last nerve or maybe you’ve just about had it with your coworker. But instead of reacting like you normally would, try something new.
When you start thinking negative thoughts about yourself or your condition, tell yourself you love yourself.
When your friend is complaining about the same thing for the millionth time and you want to shake some sense in her, remember that she needs love most of all and providing a loving environment for her is exactly what she needs.
And when your coworker pulls your last straw, remember that everyone has issues going on in their lives and they’re no exception to the rule. Maybe something’s going on at home that you don’t know about or maybe they’re dealing with an illness of their own. Remembering we’re all on a journey can help you chose the loving response instead of the negative, rude response.
It’s not easy to choose love all the time! I wish it was! But, we can condition our minds to continually choose love by practicing different affirmations.
[su_quote cite=”Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Life”]The more you dwell on what you don’t want, the more of it you create.[/su_quote]
Affirmations are such a powerful tool. You know the phrase, fake it til Ya make it? You can kind of think of affirmations in a similar light. What I mean by that is if you continually tell yourself that you love yourself or you choose to see love instead of whatever is going on, at some point it will become so routine that you’ll automatically start to do it! Louise Hay suggests beginning your day by looking in the mirror and telling yourself you love you. It can seem like a silly exercise, but the results can be astounding!
Not sure what kind of affirmations to use? Try some of these!
Say them out loud, set reminders on your phone to go off during the day for you to remember to say them and/or write them on post-its and stick them all over your house!
“I am love” – this is my favorite and I use it ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the time!
“I am willing to see love instead of this.”
“I share my light with the world.”
“I am willing to change and to grow. I now create a safe, new future.”
“I only create peaceful experiences because I love myself. All is well.”
“I am enthusiastic about life and am filled with energy!”
“I choose to be peaceful and harmonious.”
“I feel tolerance, compassion and love for all people, including myself.”
“I lovingly release the past. They are free and I am free. All is well in my heart now.”
“I calm my thoughts and I am serene.”
“I am happy and healthy.”
“I am alive to the joys of living. I deserve and accept the very best in my life. I love and approve of myself.”
“I create my own experiences. As I love and approve of myself and others, my experiences get better and better.”
“I release all that is unlike love and joy in my mind. I move from the past into the new, fresh and vital.”
“Life agrees with me. I assimilate the new every moment of every day.”
“My thoughts flow freely and easily. I move through ideas with ease.”
“I release the pattern in my consciousness that created this condition. I am willing to change. I love, appreciate and approve of myself.”
After reading through those affirmations, do any of them resonate with you? Want to read more?? I’d suggest Louise Hay You Can Heal Your Life or Gabrielle Bernstein’s Miracles Now.
So how can you spread and share love?
You can begin by choosing love at a deep, spiritual level. I believe affirmations are a wonderful tool to begin to do this. What do you think? What’s your favorite affirmation to use? Comment below to help others who may need the advice!
Oh and by the way, when you chose love and love yourself inside and out, you open yourself up to whole healing!
Today {as I do everyday, but especially today} I’m sending you SO much light and love! I genuinely hope you choose love for yourself and for others. We can help change the world by choosing love! If we all did our part, pretty soon it would just be one big love fest up in this biatch! And that’s a party I could totally get down for 🙂
Wishing You A Pain Free Day!
