Paid Opportunities for ePatients

When I started my blog, I never imagined the opportunities that would arise from it. I knew I wanted to start it to share my story and connect with others in similar situations, but it’s turned out to be the most profound adventure I’ve ever embarked on.

I never realized how many tools and programs there were online that are geared towards helping foster a patient focused health care system. Our current landscape isn’t there yet, but with so many initiatives like Society for Participatory Medicine, Stanford Medicine X, Intake.Me, WEGO Health and YourCareMoments (to name only a few), I know in time we will get there! I’ve talked about the first few many times before on my site, but I haven’t mentioned YourCareMoments before.

Who Is YourCareMoments?

YourCareMoments is a company providing data to our health care industry (working with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical products companies, payers, physicians, practice managers, hospitals, pharmacy benefit managers, and other healthcare stakeholders) on what patients (who use their products!) really need and want. By sending out surveys to patients, they’re creating repositories of patient data that the health care industry can tap into.

Why Does This Matter To You?

It matters because you have the opportunity to help change the future of our health care system!

How so? Well, based on the conditions you have, you will be sent surveys to complete. Completing the surveys will help the health care industry find out exactly what’s going on with the patients that use their services/drugs/products and how they’re managing their disease.

And, guess what?! YourCareMoments will pay you for each survey you complete! The amount of money earned depends on the type and length of the survey. Before you take a survey you’re informed on how much you will earn if you participate in the survey. Typically surveys are $7.

Each day, they invite their panelists to respond to questions about their healthcare journeys, with a focus on exploring issues of access to affordability of prescription medications. The surveys are condition specific, but you can expect about 1-2 surveys a month. Of course it could be more or less depending on the need for the data, but that’s approximately an extra $14 a month right in your pocket!

Why Am I Writing This Post?

This post might sound like I’m getting a kick back or something of that nature, but I’m not. I was asked to write a post about my experience to help get more patients to sign up! I’m all about helping further a patient centered health care landscape, therefore how could I not help spread the word about this???

I’ve had the chance to take some of their surveys and even had the opportunity to help in the creation of a new survey. Easiest money I’ve ever made! The surveys I completed were $7 each and I scored $40 by helping answer questions in the creation of a new survey on biologics.
The user interface was extremely easy to follow and the surveys never took up to much of my time. Their surveys are designed to be completed in 5-10 minutes, and include both open-ended questions (example:  What did your doctor tell you about this medication?) and close-ended questions (example: What was the out of pocket cost for your medicine? ).
Using Your Patient Experience To help current and future patients AND TO GET PAID! #spoonie #Chroniclife| Your Care Moments & itsjustabadday.comI’ve had the opportunity to complete similar surveys through other companies and have always had great experiences, but I definitely had a different experience with this one.

How so? Their customer service is seriously bar none. From day one, I had personal access to someone on their staff who told me about opportunities, sent me surveys and answered a million questions I had. They’ve made me feel like I’m really making a difference!

Want to Check it out?!

Go to www.yourcaremoments.com and sign up to be a panelist! All of the surveys are anonymous, so you’ll take the survey and then receive payment through paypal within 2-3 business days.

They’re looking for patients of all conditions to complete surveys – the only stipulation is that you must be 18 or older and living in the USA.
