arthristis

Tomorrow is the last day of arthritis month and the Pittsburgh Walk to Cure Arthritis will be held to celebrate. Online sign ups end today, but you can always sign up on the spot tomorrow! I’ll be working registration so I can hook you up 😉 (haha along with all the other volunteers there)

WTCArthritis-color-2This year’s medical honoree for the Pittsburgh Walk to Cure Arthritis was actually my first orthopedic surgeon. When I was younger, my Mom would take me down to the Duquesne University Campus to see him. His office was right across from the cadaver lab and he said he’d take me over there one day. I was so interested in surgery when I was young so I really wanted to check them out…. he never did though. *wommmpp wommmpp*

Oh well. I lived.

Hopefully this month you took part in one of the thousands of events that were going on. I had the opportunity to be a part of the International Foundation for Autoimmune Arthritis’s World Autoimmune Arthritis Day Online Conference and had so much fun!

The following stats are from Canada, but are extremely comparable to the US’s stats. Arthritis isn’t just an ‘old person’s’ disease, it’s very much an all ages disease!

Arthritis-Myths

So tomorrow – come out to the Pittsburgh Walk to Cure Arthritis, enjoy the sunshine, get some exercise and raise money for the #1 cause of disability in America.

Wishing You A Pain Free Day!
