Arthritis Life Podcast Interview

Online friendships are crazy, right? We follow each other online and we consider each other friends, but we may never have actually TALKED in person (or on the phone or zoom) before.

That’s how I feel about Cheryl! I feel like I KNOW her, but we’d actually never had a conversation outside of social media.

But that all changed when she asked me to be on her Arthritis Life Podcast. (Thanks Cheryl!!)

We talked about the many ups and downs of my journey with psoriatic arthritis, avascular necrosis, and complex regional pain syndrome. And I also got to get on my soapbox and talk about the importance of sharing your patient story and learning to take charge of your own health journey.

We chatted about:

  • My experience with multiple knee surgeries which were really all caused by Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)
  • How Avascular Necrosis lead to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and caused me a 6-month depressed bedridden stint
  • How a trip to Disney World led to my patient leadership epiphany (Man, I keep sharing this American Idol story! Haha)
  • How I put my Information Technology (IT) consulting experience to use while tracking my symptoms and discovering my unique inflammation triggers
  • How I discovered the most important tools for living a healthy, full life with PsA
  • My current role at WEGO Health
  • How PsA affected my dating life and how I met my husband
  • My experiences with pregnancy and parenting with PsA

AND MORE!
